Our Imaging Capabilities
Our department operates a comprehensive suite of advanced imaging modalities including magnetic resonance imaging (MRI-3T), computed tomography (CT), digital X-ray, ultrasound, mammography, fluoroscopy, and bone density assessment. Each modality is maintained to current technical standards and operated by experienced radiographers under the clinical supervision of specialist radiologists.
Subspecialty Radiology Expertise
Imaging interpretation is not a generic skill, it demands subspecialty depth. Our radiologists bring focused expertise across neuroradiology, musculoskeletal radiology, abdominal and pelvic imaging, cardiovascular radiology, breast imaging, and interventional radiology. This subspecialty structure ensures that every image is read by the right eyes, not simply the available ones.
Interventional Radiology
Our interventional radiology service extends well beyond diagnostics offering minimally invasive, image-guided therapeutic procedures that in many cases replace the need for open surgery. These include vascular embolisation, percutaneous biopsy, abscess drainage, tumour ablation, and central venous access procedures. Interventional radiology represents the convergence of diagnostic precision and therapeutic capability and our team is experienced in delivering both.
Speed, Integration, and Clinical Collaboration
Radiology without clinical context is incomplete. Our radiologists work in active collaboration with referring clinicians participating in multidisciplinary tumor boards, providing real-time consultation on complex cases, and ensuring that imaging findings are communicated with the clarity and clinical relevance that decision-making demands. Digital image acquisition and PACS-based reporting enable rapid result delivery across the hospital, including to intensive care and emergency settings, where speed is critical.
Radiation Safety and Patient Comfort
Every imaging protocol is designed with dose optimisation in mind applying the ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principle to minimise radiation exposure without compromising diagnostic quality. Patient comfort, particularly for children, claustrophobic patients, and those undergoing lengthy examinations, is actively considered in how we prepare, position, and communicate with every individual who enters our imaging suite.
